Currently, Frito Lay has a company initiative to reduce fuel consumption on their Frito Lay trucks. This is in an overall GREEN initiative by Frito Lay that includes using wind power to manufacture their SunChips. The Amerimax Fabricated Product new composite panel line allows them to meet these initiatives and be sustainable in their shipping.
By using our lightweight panel, they were able to reduce the weight on the truck walls by about 27 lbs per square foot – which is about a 50% reduction in weight.
